  Domain Name: ABC_CcmA_heme_export
Cytochrome c biogenesis ATP-binding export protein. CcmA, the ATP-binding component of the bacterial CcmAB transporter. The CCM family is involved in bacterial cytochrome c biogenesis. Cytochrome c maturation in E. coli requires the ccm operon, which encodes eight membrane proteins (CcmABCDEFGH). CcmE is a periplasmic heme chaperon that binds heme covalently and transfers it onto apocytochrome c in the presence of CcmF, CcmG, and CcmH. The CcmAB proteins represent an ABC transporter and the CcmCD proteins participate in heme transfer to CcmE.
No pairwise interactions are available for this conserved domain.

Tips:
If you've navigated here from a protein, hovering over a position on the weblogo will display the corresponding protein position for that domain position.

The histograms below the weblogo indicate mutations found on the domain. Red is for disease (OMIM) and blue is for SNPs.

Functional Features are displayed as orange boxes under the histograms. You can choose which features are displayed in the box below.
