  Domain Name: DOPA_deC_like
DOPA decarboxylase family. This family belongs to pyridoxal phosphate (PLP)-dependent aspartate aminotransferase superfamily (fold I). The major groups in this CD correspond to DOPA/tyrosine decarboxylase (DDC), histidine decarboxylase (HDC), and glutamate decarboxylase (GDC). DDC is active as a dimer and catalyzes the decarboxylation of tyrosine. GDC catalyzes the decarboxylation of glutamate and HDC catalyzes the decarboxylation of histidine.
No pairwise interactions are available for this conserved domain.

Total Mutations Found: 51
Total Disease Mutations Found: 25
This domain occurred 11 times on human genes (26 proteins).

If you've navigated here from a protein, hovering over a position on the weblogo will display the corresponding protein position for that domain position.

The histograms below the weblogo indicate mutations found on the domain. Red is for disease (OMIM) and blue is for SNPs.

Functional Features are displayed as orange boxes under the histograms. You can choose which features are displayed in the box below.
