Lamina-associated polypeptide 1C (LAP1C). This family contains rat LAP1C proteins and several uncharacterized highly related sequences from both mice and humans. LAP1s (lamina-associated polypeptide 1s) are type 2 integral membrane proteins with a single membrane-spanning region of the inner nuclear membrane. LAP1s bind to both A- and B-type lamins and have a putative role in the membrane attachment and assembly of the nuclear lamina.
