  Domain Name: ORC6
Origin recognition complex subunit 6 (ORC6). This family consists of several eukaryotic origin recognition complex subunit 6 (ORC6) proteins. Despite differences in their structure and sequences among eukaryotic replicators, ORC is a conserved feature of replication initiation in all eukaryotes. ORC-related genes have been identified in organisms ranging from S. pombe to plants to humans. All DNA replication initiation is driven by a single conserved eukaryotic initiator complex termed he origin recognition complex (ORC). The ORC is a six protein complex. The function of ORC is reviewed in.
