Suppressor of cytokine signalling. This domain family is found in bacteria and eukaryotes, and is approximately 60 amino acids in length. The family is found in association with pfam07525, pfam00017. The suppressors of cytokine signaling (SOCS) family play important roles in regulating a variety of signal transduction pathways that are involved in immunity, growth and development of organisms.
