  Domain Name: Ig2_L1-CAM_like
Second immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domain of the L1 cell adhesion molecule (CAM) and similar proteins. Ig2_L1-CAM_like: domain similar to the second immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domain of the L1 cell adhesion molecule (CAM). L1 belongs to the L1 subfamily of cell adhesion molecules (CAMs) and is comprised of an extracellular region having six Ig-like domains, five fibronectin type III domains, a transmembrane region and an intracellular domain. L1 is primarily expressed in the nervous system and is involved in its development and function. L1 is associated with an X-linked recessive disorder, X-linked hydrocephalus, MASA syndrome, or spastic paraplegia type 1, that involves abnormalities of axonal growth.
No pairwise interactions are available for this conserved domain.

Total Mutations Found: 2

This domain occurred 9 times on human genes (24 proteins).

Tips:
If you've navigated here from a protein, hovering over a position on the weblogo will display the corresponding protein position for that domain position.

The histograms below the weblogo indicate mutations found on the domain. Red is for disease (OMIM) and blue is for SNPs.

Functional Features are displayed as orange boxes under the histograms. You can choose which features are displayed in the box below.
