Ret finger protein-like 3 antisense. This short transcript is purported to be the antisense protein of exon 2 of RFPL3 gene, however this was not confirmed. Since the RFPL3 (ret-finger protein-like 3) gene is expressed in testis the suggestion is that this may have a role in the antisense regulation of the RFPL genes. RFPL transcripts encode proteins with tripartite structure of RING finger, coiled-coil, and B30-2 domains, which are characteristic of the RING-B30 family. Each of these domains is thought to mediate protein-protein interactions by promoting homo- or heterodimerisation.
